Today’s paraphrased guest post will be written by Wil Wheaton (no, not really):

“It’s past noon.”

I was woken by the disapproving tone mothers usually reserve for their children. My wife was rummaging through the bedroom for a dress outfit.

I rose up on one elbow. “I haven’t been able to sleep in for the last 2 weeks,” I replied.

“Neither have I.” She redoubled her activity with obvious frustration. I guess Geoffrey had been particularly wearing on her this morning.

I thought for a moment. “What about last Sunday?”

She paused. I continued:

“I had to wake up at 8am because of the support cel phone, but you got to sleep in. I even got Geoffrey up so you didn’t have to.”

“Yes, but you brought him in here to wake me up.” She wasn’t letting this go.

“At eleven. Do you consider that not sleeping in?”

She turned to me. “Fine. I guess you’ve had it worse.” Her venomous tone belied her concession.

The situation needed some humour, but I was still a little punchy from just waking up:
“I win, then.”

“Too bad there are no prizes,” she replied as she stormed out of the room.

Some days I wonder why I’m here.

OK, OK…I’m updating my blog…

I played Dance Dance Revolution last night for the first time. While I appeared to be having an epileptic fit part of the time, I was able to get pretty good scores after a bit.

That got me thinking (dangerous)…it was fun, and good exercise. I don’t have a gaming console, but was there a DDR game for my PC? Yes, there is, and unlike most of the console versions, you can download additional songs and content. My ATI All-in-Wonder allows me to output my computer screen to my TV, too.

So, yep, my order for DDR with 2 dance pads is now on its way. Let’s see if I can get back in shape, and maybe my wife will get into it too!

Strangely, after the Punkbuster anti-cheat software was integrated into Battlefield 1942, I now seem to do better at the game…fancy that!
