Today I had to get up at quarter to 4 IN THE MORNING in order to get to Tsawwassen between 6 and 6:30 to redeem my reservation for the 7am ferry to Victoria.
That’s 3:45…IN THE MORNING! Some people don’t even go to bed by that time.
The problem took 15 minutes to fix, and could have been fixed over the phone if only the original tech working on it had paid some attention, though I was able to help the customer with a few other things, and I think he appreciated the personal attention.
On the way back I tried to get on the 1pm return ferry, but missed it by 7 carlengths and had to wait two hours for the next one. Would have been nice if the cashier had told me I was in for a long wait. Grabbed some restless shut-eye in the car.
I only just got back a half-hour ago. I’m very tired, natch.
Still, nice to have a change of pace sometimes.
