Dear Mr. Allison,

You are currently paying a small amount more than your minimum monthly fees on your VISA card so we’re making lots of money off of you. Because of your obvious lack of restraint untempered by your single income we’ve decided to raise your credit limit from $9,000 to $14,000. We hope you’ll go nuts and blow it all on ale and whores.

Love, VISA

Oh well, now I can afford to laser my eyes…

Fuckers.

I loaded up Half Life 2: Lost Coast so I could see all the eye candy on my new system. Nothing huge, but I maxed everything out (at 1280×1024, which is my normal desktop size) and told it to stress-test my system. After the flythrough it came back at just under 60 fps.

In Counterstrike Source my fps is 40-90 depending on the area (40 for the bazaar in CS_Italy), hovering around 65-80 as I run around. Haven’t noticed any increase in my score, however (damnit).

…with this particular computer.

Ha! Fooled you!

I finally got my motherboard yesterday, so the new system’s almost together. I have to pull the DVD burner out of this one, so it’s going down now.

Wish me luck!

I had this running through my head when I woke this morning. It won’t go away.

Here’s the season 3 intro, which has Heather Locklear throwing her baton at the legs of a perp. Oh, and her IN A BIKINI! (the girls get Adrian Zmed with his shirt off in both)

A word of warning: viewing the Search links on those pages may have a detrimental effect on your sense of wellbeing.

Also, you should see this.

Saw Pirates 2 last night at the Cottonwood theatre. It was quite good; a worthy sequel. It is definitely the second in a trilogy.

We walked into the theatre to find the only seats together were right in the front row. By halfway through the movie my neck was sore and by the end I had a major headache. I couldn’t make out all the action because we were so close, and several times I just couldn’t make out what they were saying. Going to Silver City and Colossus has really spoiled me.

Oh, and the dumbasses who want to make comments while the movie runs. Luckily they shut up once the movie really got going so I didn’t have to get all uppity on them.

I got most of the computer 2 days after I ordered it. The case looks nice, and I can’t wait to start filling that 320 GB drive.

But…the motherboard was on backorder from the manufacturer. They sent everything but, so I have everything but the piece that ties it all together! I’m looking at all this expensive hardware and I can’t do anything about it!

Poor me, huh?

I take the Fourth of July off each year because most of the customers I speak to are Americans. Last year and this year we went to Playland, since it’s pretty dead on that day.

Last year we brought both kids, but this time just Geoffrey. This worked out much better because we could both go on rides with him instead of one having to remain with Emily, and he’s just 42″ tall so he could go on the flume ride, which really helped us cool down as the clouds burned away.

Speaking of burning, the back of my neck is scorched because when we woke up this morning it was raining and overcast so we didn’t pack any sunscreen. It stayed overcast for half of our time in Vancouver, and the rest of the time it was HOT! I have a bit of heatstroke right now, making it difficult to think and stay awake.
