Watch "This film is not yet rated" on how ridiculous the system is for choosing ratings. It has nothing to do with how scary the movie is, but what types of things look bad to Christians. The Ring is really f'ing scary, but on paper there isn't much to tick off on the criteria...very little violence or gore, no swearing, no sex. Pirates of the Carribean has guns and zombies, therefore it's PG-13. As far as I can tell, Stardust is "Rated PG-13 for some fantasy violence and risque humor." The risque humor, as far as I can tell, is that there is a cross-dresser. ZOMG DON'T LET YOUR KIDS GET INFECTED BY THE QUEERS.

But if they don't watch the violence, how are they going to get desensitized to it?
