I propose a new law that will increase the minimum age for selling and possessing tobacco and tobacco-related products in Canada by one every year. If the new law took effect in 2010, as of 2025 the minimum age would be 33; in 2050 it would be 58.

This will keep that monkey off the backs of people born in the 21st century, while not restricting the freedoms of those who are already addicted and cannot stop. A kind of “grandfather clause” for those who want (need) to smoke, get VERY put out when their addiction is threatened, but don’t want their kids smoking. We all know that Big Tobacco doesn’t give a shit about children getting addicted; it’s their future income.

Let’s keep this 20th century scourge from addicting the future.

(Now, does anybody know how laws get passed?)
